MONTANA MOUNTAIN GOAT HUNTS If a hunter is interested in hunting mountain goat, they must apply for a special permit by applying on line at fwp.mt.gov and designating one of the two Hunting Districts (HD) we are permitted to guide for goat 132 or 134. Mountain Goat Hunting Mountain goat permits are by special drawing. Call or go online to Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks (406-444-2950, www.fwp.mt.gov) to sign up for this special permit draw. Make sure you apply for Area 323 or Area 329. These two areas have the highest probability in the state for drawing a goat permit.
